Declaration of conformity

Certificates and declarations of conformity

All models of EcoMaster Plus grinders have been tested at BAY AREA COMPLIANCE LABORATORY CORPORATION, 230 Commercial Street, Sunnyvale, CA 94085.

Every product is marked with the CE logo on the data label.

The CE marking indicates that the product meets the technical requirements set out in all relevant government regulations and that the prescribed procedure has been followed in assessing its conformity.

For products in the harmonized sphere, it is not necessary to provide the customer with additional documents outside the instructions for use. The fact that conformity has been assessed is indicated by the CE mark on the product. An exception is made for some products where the relevant national authority specifies the obligation to provide the customer with certain additional documents (e.g. EC Declaration of Conformity). In the non-harmonized sphere (e.g. some construction products), products are not marked with the CE mark.

The manufacturer or importer is obliged to submit the declaration of conformity and documents on the assessment procedure used only to the supervisory authority (Czech Trade Inspection). This obligation applies to the manufacturer or importer for 10 years after the production or importation of the product has ceased (this period may be stipulated differently by government regulation for certain products). If the manufacturer or importer provides the declaration of conformity to other persons, it does not violate anything, but is not obligated to do so. There are exceptions for certain types of products, for example, machinery, where the relevant supervisory authority determines the obligation to enclose the declaration of conformity with the product.

What is the Declaration of Conformity actually?

The Declaration of Conformity is a written assurance by the manufacturer or importer that the product meets the requirements of the technical regulations valid in the Czech Republic and that the prescribed procedure for assessing conformity has been followed. The procedure for assessing conformity is set out in Act 22/1997 Coll., as amended, and relevant government regulations (NV).

What is the difference between a Declaration of Conformity and an EC Declaration of Conformity?

The declaration of conformity is issued for products that are not in the harmonized area with the EU. This includes, for example, some construction products and products listed in NV 173/97 Sb. The declaration of conformity is issued for products in the harmonized area.
